STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM CAPTAIN TO JOIN LADY FALCONS VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM IN AUGUST

MISENHEIMER, N.C. Pfeiffer University head volleyball coach Ben Guiliano announced the signing of Milana Mervosh, with athletic director Bobby Stewart, early on Monday morning. Mervosh will join the Lady Falcons roster in August.

Mervosh, from Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina, comes off of a state championship winning season in 2009 as the team captain for the Lady Cavaliers. Mervosh closed out her high school career with a 91-5 overall record with a #17 national ranking with Dorman last year.

In addition to the state title, Mervosh also took home region championships and the coaches award, lettering in her final three seasons with the Lady Cavs. Personal awards include all-conference, area and academic team last season with another all-conference award garnered in 2008-2009. Off the court, Mervosh has been a part of the National Honor Society and Beta Club three-plus years, graduating in the top 20% out of 719 classmates.

Mervosh will join a talented Lady Falcons roster next month, in preparation for the 2010 regular season which begins September 3rd and 4th at the Catawba Invitational.
