HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Jessica Moulton has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women’s soccer Player of the Week during week number seven in the 2010 season.
Moulton (Huntingtown, MD), a midfielder, put home her first two goals and assist of the season leading the Lady Falcons women's soccer team, ranked No. 8 in the NCAA II Southeast Region poll, to a pair of league victories last week. In a 4-1 victory over Mount Olive, trailing 1-0 late in the first half, Moulton responded just 17 seconds after the Trojans took a 1-0 lead to knot the contest at one apiece and put Pfeiffer right back in the contest. Moulton then turned around and assisted on the eventual game-winner five minutes before the half.
On her senior day Saturday, the midfielder put home another eventual game-winner over Converse. Scoring the match's first goal, Moulton lined a one-timer into the back of the net to complete her week. The Lady Falcons improve to 8-5 overall and 5-2 in the conference.
