HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Kristina Mordini has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball Player of the Week during week number seven in the 2010 season.
An outside hitter, Mordini (Freeport, IL) hit .426 and averaged over five kills per set for the week in a pair of 3-0 sweeps at Barton and Mount Olive over the weekend. Friday night in Wilson, Mordini put down a match-high and new school-record 22 kills during the three-set match hitting .436 with nine digs and one block assist.
Just 18 hours later at Mount Olive, the senior threw down another match best ten kills with a hitting percentage of .409 adding an assist, ace, three digs and pair of block assists. The Pfeiffer University women’s team improves to 6-12 overall and 6-5 in the conference
