MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University head men’s volleyball coach Ben Guiliano announced the signing of three student-athletes to join the Falcon volleyball program for the 2012 season. Joe Supko (North Huntingdon, PA), David Specian (Loxahatchee, FL) and David Frazee (Fort Lauderdale, FL) have all inked National Letters of Intent (NLI) to play at Pfeiffer as the average height of these three men stands at 6-3.
Supko, 6-4, is a middle blocker from just outside Pittsburgh who has played club ball since 2009 with the Pittsburgh Volleyball Club. Supko and PVC competed in the open division at the 2010 National Tournament. During his high school time at North Huntingdon, Supko was a two-year varsity athlete gaining an all-section honorable mention his junior season. Off the court, Supko is a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, FCCLA Club and a part of the KWIN Video Production team.
Specian, 6-1, is a setter hailing from Loxahatchee, Florida and Seminole Ridge High School. Specian was named the Palm Beach Post’s 2010 player of the year. Specian played for Team Florida in 2009 and 2010 while competing at the AAU National Tournament grabbing MVP honors for the 17 and under group. Specian is currently enrolled in all honors classes at SRHS and will dual enroll in the spring.
Frazee, 6-5, is a middle blocker joining Specian on the Falcons roster from Seminole Ridge High School. Frazee calls Fort Lauderdale home as a 2010 first-team all-conference middle blocker with the Hawks. Frazee was a Florida USAV High Performance Participant playing his club ball with Specian and the Ocean Bay Volleyball Club.
