MEN'S SOCCER BLANKED AGAIN; SHUTOUT 2-0 AT REGION RIVAL CATAWBA

SALISBURY, N.C. - The 2011 Pfeiffer University men's soccer season continues in its struggle after a 2-0 shutout loss at region-rival Catawba on Thursday night at Frock Field. The Indians improve to 7-8 overall while the Falcons plummet to 2-11-1.

Just before the half in the 41st minute, Catawba put home the first tally of the night courtesy of Ezra Ntirugelegwa's third of the season from just outside the 18. Insurance in the 63rd minute came from Corey Faughnan sending a loose ball over to Kyle Griewisch who slammed home his second of the year. Catawba outshot Pfeiffer 18-12 while limiting the Falcons to just two shots on goal.

Pfeiffer has three Conference Carolinas matches remaining on their 2011 schedule with all three being must wins to have a shot at the league's tournament. The top eight teams make it into the yearly event.
