MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University head softball coach Amy Yates announced that Jessica Jackson and Jaclyn Boever have signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) to play at Pfeiffer University starting in 2013. Both inked letters during the NCAA’s early signing period.
Jackson, hailing from Greensboro, currently attends High Point Christian Academy anchoring the shortstop position on the field with great speed, range and bat while also playing ASA ball with the NC Knockouts. In the classroom, Jackson carries a 4.14 grade point average off the field joining her sister Hannah at Pfeiffer next season.
“We’re very excited to have Jessica joining our program,” remarked Coach Yates. “She already has all the qualities of a great ball player and will only get stronger. She has the ability to make the game look easy and is a joy to watch.”
Boever will enter the village out of Bostic and East Rutherford High School. Boever calls the outfield home with plenty of speed to cover a lot of ground to go with her excellent arm. Off the diamond, Boever maintains a 3.86 grade point average also playing her ASA ball for the Foothills Heat.
“Jaclyn will be a great asset to our program,” stated Coach Yates. “She has a tremendous attitude and love for the game. She’s one of those players you never question if she’s giving her all and I look forward to working with her.”
Pfeiffer will open up its 2012 campaign on February 15th at region-rival Catawba beginning at 1:30 p.m.
