WILSON, N.C. - Led by a match-high nine kills from Quentin Moore and a .583 attack percentage, Pfeiffer University scored their first win of the season in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-10) sweep over Barton College in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action on Wednesday night. The Falcons, who hit .344 as a team while holding the Bulldogs to a negative percentage, improve to 1-1 overall, 1-0 in league play. Host Barton falls to 0-5, 0-2.
Behind Moore, Eric Edelman and Caleb Brophy each followed with five kills while David Specian put up a match-high 24 assists. Pfeiffer registered eight team blocks, five of the solo variety led by two from David Frazee. The Falcons hit .400 or above in two of the three sets. For the Bulldogs, Alx Draughan had a team-high six kills.
