MEN AND WOMEN'S TENNIS SWEPT IN SPRING OPENER BY NORTH GEORGIA

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Visiting North Georgia swept a pair of tennis decisions on Thursday afternoon taking on Pfeiffer University at the Knapp Tennis Center. The Saints women doubled up the Lady Falcons 6-3 while the men shutout Pfeiffer 9-0.

In women's action, Alena Krutkina, Taylor Lindsay and Briana Oliver each scored victories in the top three singles spots winning in straight-sets. Krutkina and Lindsay narrowly missed out on a point in doubles play falling 8-6.

On the men's side, Luis Villalta came closest to victory going three sets with NGU's Matthew Guida. After winning the first set 6-4, Villalta dropped the final two sets 6-2, 6-1.

The Lady Falcons will get back to action on Saturday heading to UNC-Pembroke while the men will host Catawba on Monday.
