SOFTBALL WRAPS UP FLORIDA TRIP 4-1 THANKS TO ONE-HITTER BY BROWN IN 3-0 SHUTOUT OF MERCY THURSDAY

CLERMONT, F.L. - Pfeiffer University softball wrapped up their 2012 spring break trip to Florida with a 3-0 shutout of Mercy to finish the swing 4-1 on Thursday morning. The Lady Falcons improve to 12-17 winning three-straight while Mercy falls to 4-4.

Shelby Brown would toss a complete game one-hitter with seven strikeouts in the circle. A Celia Dew triple and Ashlee Ellen double provided two of the three runs in the third while a Kirsten Patterson single in the sixth drove in pinch-runner Tyresha Ellis. Dew and Ellen would each finish with a pair of hits for the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons will now get back to action at home, in league play, hosting Erskine on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Live stats will be available for both games via http://www.gofalconsports.com.
