JACKSON NETS LEAGUE-LEADING SIXTH GOAL DURING WOMEN'S SOCCER'S 7-1 LOSS AT NORTH GEORGIA

DAHLONEGA, G.A. - Host North Georgia followed up a three-goal first half with four in the second to run past Pfeiffer University 7-1 in women's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints move to 8-1 overall with the win while sending the Lady Falcons to 4-4.

Kelly Penston put North Georgia on the board in the 14th minute followed by back-to-back tallies from Whitley Dover. Dover's first came in the 32nd minute while adding another 10 minutes later.

In the second half, Carolina Wallace and Elizabeth Buchanan registered goals in the 49th and 54th minutes before Pfeiffer got on the board with Aaliyah Jackson's league-leading sixth goal of the year. Kayla Croom and Sydney Reeder added late tallies for North Georgia.

The Saints led 36-10 in shots while forcing the Lady Falcons to make 11 saves, three by defenders on the goal line.

Pfeiffer returns to Conference Carolinas play on Homecoming Saturday taking on Erskine at 2:00 p.m.
