MEN'S BASKETBALL HIT ROAD BLOCK IN 84-45 LOSS AT ST. AUGUSTINE'S ON TUESDAY NIGHT

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University men's basketball hit the road for their first contest away from Merner Gym on Tuesday night running into a road block at St. Augustine's during an 84-45 loss in non-conference action. St. Augustine's improves to 1-1 on the season while the Falcons remain winless at 0-3.

Trailing 42-28 after the first 20 minutes, Pfeiffer would only muster 17 second half points. St. Augustine's would shoot 48% from the field while dominating the glass 54-29. Joel Kindred led the host Falcons with 23 points as one of three in double figures. Josh Humphrey turned out to be Pfeiffer's leading scorer with seven point on the night.

The Falcons will now take a few days off before opening up Conference Carolinas play on Saturday hosting King. The first of two pre-Christmas conference doubleheaders will begin at 4:00 p.m. after the women's contest at 2:00 p.m. Live stats and video will be available through http://www.gofalconsports.com.
