MUNCIE, I.N. - Host and 15th-ranked Ball State University hit .302 as a team to sweep visiting Pfeiffer University 3-0 (28-26, 25-19, 25-20) in division one men's volleyball action on Saturday night. The Cardinals improve to 16-5 overall while the Falcons fall to 14-8.
Ball State had three players end up with double-digit kills led by Greg Herceg's 11. Shane Witmer and Jamion Hartley would each followed with 10 in the three-set win. Caleb Brophy led Pfeiffer with 15 kills hitting .387 while David Specian assisted 32 times. Libero Mark Hess popped up 11 digs while Brophy added 10 in the loss. Pfeiffer would hit .342 and .312 despite dropping the first two sets.
Pfeiffer will look towards the 2013 regular season finale at Erskine on Wednesday night before hosting a semifinal tournament match on April 10th. Wednesday's match time at Erskine is set for 7:00 p.m.
