WOMEN'S TENNIS STAYS UNBEATEN IN SPRING, LEAGUE PLAY AFTER 8-1 WIN OVER CONVERSE

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University continued to be perfect in the spring after scoring an 8-1 victory over Converse in Conference Carolinas women's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Falcons move to 12-3 overall on the year, 8-0 in league play while the Valkyries fall to 1-14, 1-6.

Pfeiffer got off to a quick start sweeping all three doubles points as Taylor Lindsay/Valeria Mendoza registered an 8-2 win at #1 while Hannah Watson/Chelsi Haefele doubled up their opponents at #2 8-4. Briana Oliver and Melinda Athay would pick up a shutout at #3 rolling 8-0.

In singles, all of Pfeiffer's points would come in straight-set wins. Oliver would drop just one game at #5 while Haefele lost just two games in the fourth position.

Pfeiffer has already postponed Thursday's scheduled match at Erskine due to incoming weather. Next scheduled time out for the Lady Falcons will be on Monday hosting King in league action beginning at 2:00 p.m.
