From 1999-2002, Lawson led the Marycrest International University men’s and women’s teams. In 2001, he took the squad to the NAIA National Tournament Championship and earned the Runner-Up. The prior season, he took Marycrest to a third-place finish in the NAIA Tournament.
He also served as Chairman of the NAIA National Poll from 2000-13 and the Director of the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Tournament from 2002-13.
“I feel honored for the opportunity to coach at Pfeiffer,” said Lawson. “I am excited to come in and raise the bar for the women’s program and keep the men’s team playing at a high level.”
Reasso is also looking forward to Lawson’s tenure.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring on Paul and his experience with both the men’s and women’s side of the game,” Reasso said. “I have every confidence that he will continue to lead our already successful programs to new heights.”
