MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer Head Women’s Basketball Coach Roy Dow and Athletic Director/VP for Athletics Bob Reasso have announced the 2013-14 women’s basketball schedule. Dow enters his first season as the leader of the program and is eager for the year.

“I am very excited for the season,” said Dow. “We have a competitive schedule but will be ready for the challenge. The girls have been working hard in the off-season and are ready to get going.”

The season kicks off with a trip to Hartsville, S.C. on Nov. 9 for a 2 p.m. tip off against Coker. The Lady Falcons open the home portion of the schedule on Nov. 12 when they host Catawba at 7:30 p.m. 

The non-conference slate also includes trips to Mars Hill as well as visits to Benedict and Brevard. The Lady Falcons will host JC Smith and Francis Marion. in non-conference action in Merner Gym.

Conference Carolinas play should be grueling again this year for the Lady Falcons. A season ago, seven teams won at least 11 games in conference play, led by Limestone who went 21-1 in conference. Pfeiffer begins conference play on Dec. 3 when they travel to Mt. Olive for a 5:30 p.m. matchup. The season concludes with the Lady Falcons playing five of its last eight games in Misenheimer.

The Lady Falcons 26-game schedule features an equal amount of home and road contests. Pfeiffer is coming off a season where they finished 25-7 overall and 17-5 in conference play. Pfeiffer advanced to the NCAA Tournament and defeated Anderson 84-78 in the opening round, before falling to Limestone in the Second Round.
