WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS TOUGH MATCH TO EMMANUEL

MISENHEIMER, NC - In their third match in a 24 hour span, and second today, the Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (7-21) were defeated by Emmanuel (20-7) by a final of 3-1. Megan Bright paced the Lions with 16 kills, while Kelsey Blauser and Shelby Younger each finished with 10 kills for the Lady Falcons.

For the match, Pfeiffer finished with a .099 hitting percentage and 41 kills while Emmanuel posted a .228 hitting percentage and 38 kills.

Pfeiffer served 11 aces, led by freshman Haley Denny who finished with four. Setters Emily Wall and Lauren Carmen combined for 35 assists and Kelly Lancellot and Allison Rosas each had two total blocks. Blauser had a .368 hitting percentage on the evening.

Bright was the star of the match, posting her 16 kills on just 26 attempts. She finished with three errors and a .500 hitting percentage and chipped in four total blocks.

The Lady Falcons return to action on Tuesday evening when they host Mount Olive at 7 p.m.
