BENTOLILA NAMED AS PFEIFFER'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE COACH

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer Athletic Director/VP for Athletics Bob Reasso has announced the hiring of Krissy Bentolila as the team’s head women’s lacrosse coach, effective immediately. Bentolila is a 2009 graduate of Pfeiffer and most recently served as the Assistant Coach at Kennesaw St.

“We are absolutely delighted to have Krissy joining our coaching staff,” said Reasso. “Hiring someone in between semesters for the spring is very difficult and for us to get someone the caliber of Krissy is very fortunate. It’s even better that she’s a former Falcon herself and has the understanding of what Pfeiffer athletics is all about.”

Bentolila was a standout on the lacrosse field for the Falcons from 2005-09 and served as the team’s co-captain in 2008-09. She was named to the All-Conference team in 2008 and 2009 and was an All-Academic performer the same two year’s.  She earned Second Team All-Region honors in 2009 and was a four-year member of the Dean’s List. She currently ranks third all-time in assists (69) and points (172) and sixth in goals scored (103).

After her time in Misenheimer, Bentolila was named the assistant coach at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. She served as the offensive coordinator and oversaw the strength and conditioning workouts of the Division I program. She was also the team academic advisor and was in charge of recruiting and film exchange.

After a season at Presbyterian, Bentolila was hired to the same position at Queens University in May 2011 where she performed many of the same duties.

“I am so excited to be back coaching at my alma mater with a very talented group of players,” said Bentolila. “I want to thank Bob Reasso and the rest of the administration for the incredible opportunity to lead this program. I am looking forward to keeping the momentum going with this team as they come off of their most successful season in Pfeiffer history.”

Bentolila earned her bachelors in Sports Management in 2009 and also received her masters of Science in Leadership in 2013 from Pfeiffer.
