BOONE, N.C. - For the first time in almost two years, the Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team scored 25 goals in a game en route to an all-out domination of Conference Carolinas foe Lees-McRae.  The last time the Falcons had at least 25 goals in a game was on March 5, 2012 when they defeated Ohio Valley by a score of 26-2.  The win is Pfeiffer's first conference victory of the young season, improving their record to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.  Lees-McRae falls to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in the conference with the loss.  Pfeiffer has now outscored their opponents 58-22 this season.

The Falcons surely benefitted from a stellar offensive effort by redshirt-junior Tucker Hammock and senior Steven Tilmon who each notched hat tricks for the match.  Hammock led all players with six goals in the contest bringing his season total to a team-leading 12.  Hammock also tallied three assists, while Tilmon got in on the action with three goals of his own.  Defensively, junior goalkeeper Joe Capstaff picked up the win for the Falcons, tallying three saves in the matchup.

Pfeiffer set the tone early, picking up their first three tallies in the first minute of play.  Redshirt-junior Mike Triolo had the Falcons' first goal of the game when he found himself wide open in front of the Lees-McRae net only 27 seconds into the contest.  Just 12 seconds later Hammock picked up his first goal off an assist from sophomore Khalid Stukes.  Hammock had his next one just 19 seconds after the first, putting the Falcons up 3-0 off an assist from senior James Shepherd.  Shepherd finished with three assists on the day and added two goals to Pfeiffer's largest margin of victory since the last time they played Lees-McRae.  The last time the two squads met, on February 6, 2013, the Falcons defeated Lees-McRae 24-0.  Pfeiffer dominated the entire game, leading 19-1 at the midway point, allowing only one goal in the second period and one goal in the third.

The Falcons return to action on March 1st when they travel to Erie, P.A. to take on Mercyhurst in a 1:00 p.m. start.
