PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Pfeiffer baseball team (19-13) only mustered two hits in today’s contest as they fell to No. 22 UNC Pembroke (23-8) by a score of 5-0.
UNC Pembroke struck first in the bottom of the first inning as Dalton Knight roped an RBI single to center field. The Braves added two more runs in the bottom of the third on two doubles and one single.
The Falcons did not reach the hit column until the top of the fourth when Cole McGraw singled through the left side of the infield. Pfeiffer’s only other hit came in the very next inning as Brett Miller connected on a leadoff single up the middle.
Keith Little falls to 3-3 as he pitched three innings giving up three runs on four hits.
McGraw and Miller led the Falcons offensively, accounting for the team’s two hits.
Pfeiffer returns to action when they host conference foe Erskine in a weekend series starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28.
