Baseball Wins Series Over Anderson

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer baseball won their weekend series over Anderson with an 8-6 win Sunday afternoon. The teams split a double-header Saturday. The Falcons improve to 12-8 overall and 7-2 in the CVAC. Anderson falls to 9-15 overall and 4-5 in the conference.

Daniel Brown scored a run for Pfeiffer in the first thanks to two Anderson errors.

Anderson tied the game in the sixth thanks to three straight singles.

Pfeiffer scored four in the bottom of the sixth thanks to five straight hits to take a 5-1 lead.

Anderso responded with two in the seventh thanks to a a Falcon error.

Pfeiffer came right back with RBI singles from Justin Ridenhour and Ryan Harju.

Anderson scored three in the ninth but Chris Russell came in and closed the door getting the final two outs for a 8-6 Falcon victory.

Jonathan McDaniel picked up the win for the Falcons.

Pfeiffer goes on the road to Lenoir-Rhyne on Tuesday for their next contest. Game time is 2:00 pm.
