dickens.jpgWILSON, N.C. -- Sophomore middle hitter Brittany Dickens notched 11 kills, four blocks and two aces Saturday afternoon to lead visiting Pfeiffer University to a 30-19, 30-25, 30-24 volleyball win over Barton.

The Lady Falcons improved to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in Conference Carolinas while Barton slumped to 1-9 overall and 0-5 in league action. Junior Lauren Spiotta added nine kills and three blocks for Pfeiffer. Junior setter Morgan Liebert tallied 28 assists and seven aces.

For Barton, junior outside hitter Liz Strange and freshman setter/hitter Melissa Ritter pounded eight kills apiece. Senior Kyle Petty added four kills, five blocks and four aces. Ritter also dished off a team-high 14 assists.

Pfeiffer will return to action Wednesday when they host Queens at 7:00 pm.
