| Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer men's basketball team defeated Lees-McRae 89-71 in conference action Monday night. The Falcons forced 35 turnovers and hit 12 three-pointers in the win. Pfeifer now stands at 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference. Lees-McRae falls to 2-11 and 1-6. Josh Roper scored five straight points to give Pfeiffer a 7-3 lead which the Falcons built up to 12-3 at the 14:30 mark. Lees-McRae came back with a 5-0 run. Logan Call hit two free throws to give Pfeiffer a double-digit lead at 30-20 with 7:45 left. Pfeiffer stretched their lead to 35-20. Thomas Carr hit two straight three-pointers to take the Falcons to a 41-25 lead wih only 3:45 to go. Pfeiffer led 47-31 at halftime. A Derrick Truesdale three-pointer built the Falcon lead to 20 at 59-39 with 13:30 left. Lees-McRae cut the Falcon lead to fifteen but a Logan Call three-pointer took the lead back up to twenty with 8 minutes left with the score at 72-52. Pfeiffer built their lead up to twenty-five at one point and closed it out with an 89-71 win. Thomas Carr and Derrick Truesdale each had 15 points to lead Pfeiffer. Craig Thomas pulled down 10 rebounds. Raysean Hairston had 15 to lead the Bobcats. Pfeiffer returns to action Saturday when they travel to Belmont-Abbey for a 7:30 pm game.
