Hartsville , SC- The Coker Cobras fell to the Falcons of Pfeiffer University 7-0 in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. Coker completes the season with a record of 4-12-1 overall, and 1-9-1 in Conference Carolinas play, while the Falcons improve to 9-7-1 overall, and 8-2-1 in the conference. Pfeiffer got things started early scoring three goals in the first half. Michelle Vaudreuil found the back of the net first with assists from Angela Reale and Megan Blevins. The Falcons next two goals were unassisted from Celia Walpole and Katie Franca. In the second half, Pfeiffer padded their lead with three quick goals in the first five minutes. The first two came from Megan Reaves, while Reale posted the final two goals giving the Falcons the 7-0 victory. Suzie Hinman and Heidi Karaszkiewicz combined for five saves and the shutout, while Margaret McCoy and Carrie Hudnell had a combined seven saves. Pfeiffer will host a Confernce Carolinas Quaterfinal match Wednesday at 2:00 pm when they play St. Andrews. |
