Men's Lacrosse Falls 16-8

Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team fell to visiting Wheeling Jesuit University by a score of 16-8 on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons fall to 1-3 on the season.

Wheeling jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead before Chuck Batchelor scored for the Falcons to cut the lead to 2-1after eight minutes of play.

Wheeling scored twice in the last two minutes of the first quarter to take a 6-2 lead at the break.

Pfeiffer held their own in the second quarter but went into halftime trailing 7-3.

Jesuit scored three times early in the third to take command of the game. Pfeiffer goals by Chad Olsen, Kevin Anderson, and Shawn Cross got Pfeiffer back to 11-6 late in the third but Wheeling scored two late goals.

In the fourth Pfeiffer got goals by Eddie Gourley and another by Batchelor but wheeling countered with three goals to win 16-8.

Pfeiffer will next host Seton Hill Monday at 3:30 pm.
