Falcons Win Two at Pfeiffer Invitational

Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer volleyball team swept two matches at the Pfeiffer Invitational Friday. With the two wins Pfeiffer is now 5-3 on the season.

Pfeiffer won their first game easily Friday afternoon. The Falcons defeated Fayetteville State 3-0 (30-19,30-14,30-23). The Falcons were led by Petra Ljubicic who had 12 kills. Morgan Liebert had 23 assists to lead Pfeiffer while Britney Poole had 10 digs.

Pfeiffer came back and defeated Columbia College 3-1 Friday evening. After Columbia took the first game 30-24 the Falcons stormed back winning three in a row by the scores of 30-16, 30-26 and 30-19. Lauren Spiotta paced the Falcons with 15 kills against Columbia. Morgan Liebert continued her outstanding play with 46 assists.

Pfeiffer will play tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 against So. Connecticut State.
