The Pfeiffer Women's Tennis team finished strong at the 1st Annual Methodist University Tennis Tournament held in Fayettville, N.C., this past weekend.

Patty Dominguez, playing in the Championship (A) flight, won the singles titles, defeating Jeana McGary of UNC-Pembroke, 6-1, 6-1 in the finals.

Freshman Catie Thomas, Asheboro, N.C, made the finals in the (B) flight, before losing to Shannon Vivian of Methodist, 6-3, 6-3.

Mias Bobrowski, Charlotte, N.C., teamed up with Dominguez and made it to the finals of the Championship (A) flight of the Doubles competition before losing to the No.1 team from Methodist 8-4.

Coach Smith said, "I was proud of all the girls' play. They continue to work hard and improve."
