| Salisbury, NC---Pfeiffer University Men and Women's Swimming combined earned third place overall at the Boo Bash relay meet. The ladies team earned an overall 4th place behind Mars Hill. Coach Hawkins commented, "This meet was a learning experience for many of the swimmers on the Falcon teams. Our relays were strong, but so was the conference competition. There were many encouraging swims, and the women's team of Emily Belton, Meg Toncheff, Brittany Byrum and Hannah Fitzgibbons swam a storming 4 x 100 free relay to take second in 3:51.94 just 3 tenths off the long established Pfeiffer school record. The men's 4 x 100 medley relay of David Angell, Kevin Parks, Andrew Siegfried and Edwin Torres combined to set a new Pfeiffer men's standard of 3:46.88. The Boo Bash is a fun meet to go to and it was great to get an advance look at the competition before we see many of these teams at our upcoming dual meets. Coming off fall break and the Lenoir Rhyne meet which finished late the night before, I am quite pleased with our overall performances. Next week we drive to Virginia to race Division 1 Virginia Military Institute at their pool along with the women of Randolph Macon."
