| Falcons Pick Up First Win |

| Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team defeated Briarcliffe 10-5 on Saturday afternoon to gain their first victory of the season. The Falcons broke open a close game at halftime (5-4) with a strong second half to improve to 1-6 on the year. Jameson Schultz got the Falcons off to a fast start with a goal in the first minute. The teams traded goals back and forth until the score was tied at 3 all in the second quarter. The Falons scored two straight goals to take a 5-3 lead with 4:17 to go until halftime. Briarcliffe scored eight seconds later to cut the score to 5-4. The Falcons went ino the break leading 5-4. Eddie Gourley did all the scoring in the third quarter as his two goals pushed the Falcon lead to 7-4. Pfeiffer kept up the pressure and outscored Briarcliffe 3-1 in the fourth quarter to win 10-5. Pfeiffer will host conference rival Queens on Wednesday at 4:00 pm. |
