| Falcons Race Past the Flying Fleet |

| Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer used a strong press to force 24 Erskine turnovers and defeated the Flying Fleet by a score of 95-76 Saturday afternoon in conference men's basketball action. The Falcons, using 14 different players, used a strong defensive press to disrupt the Erskine offense and jump to a 53-26 halftime lead. Pfeiffer is now 7-4 on the season and 3-2 in the conference. Erskine falls to 3-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference. Pfeiffer jumped to an early 10-2 lead after four minutes. A Logan Call offensive rebound and lay-up pushed the Falcon lead to 23-8 at the 10:52 mark. Quintel Maxwell hit one of Pfeiffer's eight first half three-pointers with 7:45 left to build the Falcons lead to 31-12. Derrick Truesdale hit a "3" with less then two seconds in the half to put Pfeiffer up 53-26 at the break. Josh Roper had a four-point play at the 16:17 mark to lift the Falcon lead to 62-31. Erskine tried to mount a comeback and went on a 16-0 run to cut their defecit to 66-47 but Thomas Carr hit a three-pointer to stop the Erskine momentum. Another Truesdale three gave Pfeiffer an 86-62 lead with five minutes left. Pfeiffer continued their strong play through the end of the game and won 95-76. Derrick Truesdale led Pfeiffer with 18 points. Logan Call had 8 reounds aznd Jeff Pettiway dished out 5 assists. Grayson Glur led Erskine with 10 points. Pfeiffer returns to action Monday when they host Lees-McRae at 7:30 pm |
