| Men' Basketball Loses in OT |

| Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer lost a heartbreaker to St. Andrews 106-101 in OT Saturday night in men's basketball action. The Falcons(13-3, 7-2) and Knights(7-9, 4-5) went back and forth as the game saw 12 lead changes and ten ties. The Knights grabbed a quick six point lead in the OT and were able to hang on. DeMario Grier scored 26 for Pfeiffer. Robert McGriff and Tavares Cooper each added 17 points. St. Andrews grabbed an early 10-7 lead but a 7-0 Pfeiffer run gave them a 14-10 advantage at the 15:14 mark. The Knights took the lead, 27-26, at the 8:39 mark and held the lead the rest of the half. A DeMario Grier three-pointer at the halftime buzzer brought the Falcons back within one, 43-42, at the break. Robert McGriff hit a field goal in the first ten seconds of the second half to give Pfeiffer a lead they would hold for over ten minutes. A 10-0 Knights run gave them a 72-70 lead with 8:33 to play. The teams went back and forth until the end. St. Andrews hit two free throws with ten seconds left and a last second "three" by McGriff just missed to send the game into overtime. The Knights scored the first six points of OT but the Falcons fought back and Cooper tied the game at 101 with 2:14 to go. However, the Knights hit enough free throws at the end and Pfeiffer couldn't score and the Knights won 106-101. Grier had 26 points to lead Pfeiffer. Cooper and McGriff each added 17. Logan Call chipped in 14 points. Pfeiffer was outrebounded 45-33 for the game and St. Andrews shot 57% from the floor. Pfeiffer returns to action Thursday. They will travel to Limestone for a 7:30 pm game.
