| Pfeiffer Defeats Queens 14-12 |

| Misenheimer, NC---Eddie Gourley scored 5 goals to lead the Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team to a 14-12 victory over Conference Carolinas rival Queens University. The two teams were tied at the end of each of the first three quarters but in the fourth the Falcons(2-6, 1-2) stepped up their play and pulled out the win. The two teams traded goals the first quarter and it was 3 all at the end of the quarter. Queens took control at the start of the second and took a 8-5 lead. Gourley scored two goals in a 4-0 run that put Pfeiffer up 9-8. Queens scored near the end of the half to tie it at 9 at the break. Forest Papajohn scored at the 7:44 mark to give the Falcons an 11-9 advantage. Queens came back with two straight goals to tie the game at 11 entering the fourth quarter. Queens scored in the first minute of the fourth to take the lead but Robert Adams answerd for the Falcons less then a minute later. Adams scored the game winning goal at the 4:27 mark for Pfeiffer. A late goal amde the final 14-12 for the Falcons. Pfeiffer will host Rollins Sunday at 1:00 pm. |
