|Pfeiffer Gets Conference Win|

|Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer women’s volleyball team defeated conference rival Queens University 3-0(30-19,30-11,30-16) Wednesday evening. Pfeiffer is now 9-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Queens falls to 2-16 overall and 1-6 in conference play. |
In game one the Falcons stormed out to a 5-0 lead. Queens fought back but a Lauren Spiotta kill gave Pfeiffer a 12-6 advantage. With the score at 18-16 Petra Ljubicic’s kill started a 4-0 run and the Falcons went on from there for a 30-19 win.
Game two was very similar as the Falcons started out on a 5-1 run. The Royals hung tough and cut the lead to 7-5. The Falcons slowly built their lead up to 16-10. Pfeiffer then went on a 13-0 run behind great hitting from everyone and when Sheena Mashore spiked one to the ground the Falcons had a 30-11 victory.
Again in game three the Falcons went out to an early 5-1 lead. Lauren Spiott had two kills to pace the Falcons as they built their lead to 14-7. Queens hung on until the score was 22-14 in favor of Pfeiffer. The Falcons then went on a 7-0 run and again Sheena Mashore ended the game with a kill as Pfeiffer won 30-16.
Pfeiffer was led by Lauren Spiotta and Brittany Dickens who each had 8 kills. Sheena Mashore added 6 kills. Morgan Leibert had 20 assists. Petra Ljubicic had three service aces.
Queens was led by Keatin McKenzie who had 4 kills. Sarah Burt had 13 assists. Erinn Hayes had 4 blocks.
Pfeiffer travels to Converse for a 7:00 pm game on Friday. Saturday the Falcons go to Catawba for a 2:00 pm game.
