|HARROGATE, TN – After playing through a defensive struggle the first 45 minutes of the match, the Lincoln Memorial University men’s soccer produced a pair of goals in the final 45 minutes, allowing the Railsplitters(5-2) to come away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons(5-3) on Saturday. |
The Falcons had two good scoring chances in the first fifteen minutes but couldn't convert and the game was 0-0 at the break.
Railsplitter sophomore Felipe Nogueira broke the silence of the match in the 58th minute when he scored unassisted to give LMU the go ahead 1-0 lead.
Later, in the 83rd minute, senior Nelson Pizzaro put in a header off of teammate Guilherme Alves’ free kick to give the Railsplitter their final 2-0 margin.
Pfeiffer hosts North Georgia Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
