Pfeiffer Wins 105-77

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer defeated Lees-McRae(5-18,4-12) 105-77 in CVAC men's basketball action Thursday night. The Falcons(16-8,10-7) had five players in double figures led by DeMario Grier's 23 points. Tavares Cooper added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons.

Pfeiffer jumped out to a 17-2 lead after four minutes of play.

The Bobcats used an 8-0 run to get back into the game trailing Pfeiffer 23-16 with 7:56 to go.

A 12-2 Falcon run pushed their lead back to 17 at 35-18 with a little over five minutes to play.

Lees made a strong run at the end of the half to go into halftime trailing Pfeiffer by only four 42-38.

Pfeiffer quickly built their lead to ten early in the second half.

Two Derek Moore free throws capped a 14-1 Falcon run that saw their lead grow to 71-49 with 10:31 left.

With 3:01 remaining Thomas Carr hit a three-pointer to give Pfeiffer a thirty point advantage at 103-73.

Pfeiffer finished with a 105-77 victory.

Grier had 23 points. Cooper added 14 points and ten rebounds. Robert McGriff scored 17 and pulled down 8 boards. Thomas Carr scored 12 and Logan Call added 10.

Pfeiffer will host Anderson at 7:30 pm on Saturday.
