SB Swept by USC-Aiken

Misenheimer- The Pfeiffer softball team was swept on Thursday afternoon by USC-Aiken 9-6 (8) and 7-0. The Falcons are now 8-6 on the season. Pfeiffer will travel to St. Andrews on Saturday to open Conference Carolinas action, first pitch is slated for 2:00.

After falling behind 1-0 in game one the Falcons used two doubles, two singles and two walks to plated thee runs in the bottom of the second.

After Aiken tied it in the third Tiffany Allen hit a bases loaded triple to score three and give Pfeiffer a 6-3 lead.

Trailing 6-5 entering the seventh Aiken got a two-out RBI single to tie the game.

Aiken scored three in the eighth to win 9-6.

Dcia Ijames took the loss for Pfeiffer. She pitched all 8 innings giving up 9 runs, but only 4 were earned, and striking out 8.

In game two Aiken scored six runs in the first to take control of the game.

The Falcons loaded the bases in the third with no outs but couldn't score. Aiken added another run for a 7-0 win.

Alison Braswell took the loss for Pfeiffer.
