Softball Drops Two

Misenheimer - The Falcons lost both games of a double header Saturday against Anderson University. The Trojans lead the game off with a single, followed by a fly out to second, then a double by Kayla Williams, which plated the only run of the game. Pfieffer had opportunities in the second, third, fifth, and seventh innings to score, but were unable to capitalize. Dacia Ijames was the hard luck loser as she surrendered one run on six hits while walking one and striking out nine.

Nothing went right for Pfeiffer in the night cap. Anderson scored one run in the first, two in the second, five in the fourth, and one more in the fifth en route to a 9-4 victory. The Falcons cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the second, but that's where the scoring ended until the bottom of the seventh when Stephanie Brandt led off with a double and Ijames followed with a two run homer, which was her third of the season.

Pfeiffer returns to action Monday, March 12 as they host non conference opponent Merideth College at 2 p.m.
