|Kissimmee, FL---Pfeiffer split a pair of non-conference softball games on Wednesday. In their first game the Falcons won 5-2 over Northern Kentucky. In the second game SW Minesota defeated Pfeiffer 2-0. Pfeiffer is now 15-13 on the season. |
The Falcons broke open a scoreless tie in the first game with four runs in the bottom of the first. Two walks and a fielder's choice loaded the bases for Tiffany Allen who hit an RBI single to open the scoring. Stephanie Bethea deliveed a Sac Fly for run number two. Martina Bullard lined a single to drive in two more.
Stephanie Brandt singled in Brittany Waldon home in the fifth to increase the Falcon lead to 5-0.
This was more then enough for Falcon starter Allison Braswell who picked up the win with a complete game preformance.
Dacia Ijames pitched a great game in the second game but it wasn't enough as Pfeiffer fell 2-0. Ijames pitched a complete game striking out three and allowing only two runs. However, the Falcon bats couldn't produce a run.
Pfeiffer had a runner on third in three separate innings but could not push them across the plate.
Pfeiffer will get back into conference play on Saturday when they travel to Coker. The first game will start at 2:00 pm.
