MISENHEIMR, NC – Another week of winning basketball has moved the Pfeiffer men's team up another spot in the D2SIDA Southeast Region rankings.
The Falcons, who went 2-0 last week to increase their overall record to 20-3 (13-3 CC) this season, are now ranked No. 4 in the regional rankings. This marks their highest ranking in the poll for 2016-17.
Pfeiffer came out on top in back-to-back road trips this past week, defeating Barton, 109-90, and Erskine, 103-88, stretching its winning streak to eight with five straight games producing 100 points or more.
Pfeiffer continues to dominate the Division II rankings in scoring, leading the nation with 107.2 points per game. Additionally, it ranks No. 1 in total three-point field goals (800), turnover margin (11.2), No. 2 in steals (302). The Falcons are also currently ranked inside the top-10 in assists (18.7) and scoring differential (17.8).
Two weeks ago, Pfeiffer was eighth in the regional poll. On Tuesday evening, the Falcons will take on Barton at home in a quick turnaround rematch and hope to remain in sole possession of second place in the Conference Carolina standings.
