SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Junior Brittany Cox posted a monster double-double with 32 points and 13 rebounds in 33 minutes of action leading Pfeiffer University to a 90-64 victory at Converse College on Saturday afternoon. Cox, who flirted with a triple-double in the win, help the Lady Falcons move to 11-9 overall, 6-5 in league play while the Valkyries drop to 2-18, 2-9. Read more

Baseball's Mound Struggles Result in 8-6 Extra Inning Loss to Belmont Abbey

SALISBURY, N.C. - Two runs in the top of the 10th broke a six-all tie as Belmont Abbey College claimed an 8-6 extra-inning victory over Pfeiffer University in a non-conference neutral site tilt hosted by Catawba. The Crusaders move to 3-0 on the year while the Falcons fall to 0-2. Read more

Moore's Match-High 14 Kills Propel Men's Volleybal to 3-0 League Sweep of King

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Quentin Moore (Richmond, VA) registered a match-high 14 kills while the team defense posted 12 blocks as Pfeiffer University swept past King College 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-18) in Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball action on Saturday afternoon. The win pushes the Falcons to 2-1 overall, 2-0 in league play now in sole possession of first place. The loss drops the Tornado even at 4-4, losing their conference opener. Read more

Cox Named CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American in District Three; Moves On to National Ballot

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University women’s basketball standout Brittany Cox (Winston-Salem, NC) has been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team in district three. Only five players were selected for the division two team in which Cox was one of two coming from Conference Carolinas. Cox has the highest grade point average of those selected, now moving on to the national ballot for national Academic All-American consideration. Read more

Smith's 29 Propels Men's Basketball Past St. Andrews 91-77

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Paced by a game-high 29 from Danny Smith (Baltimore, MD), Pfeiffer University claimed a 91-77 victory over St. Andrews in Conference Carolinas men’s basketball on Thursday night inside the Merner Gym. Smith connected on 9-of-19 for the night with four coming from behind the arc as the Falcons improve to 11-9 overall, 5-5 in league play. Rhoney Records Historic Triple-Double as Women's Basketball Routs St. Andrews 105-55

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Behind Kellie Rhoney’s (Catawba, NC) triple-double and Brittany Cox’s (Winston-Salem, NC) double-double, Pfeiffer University scored a season-high 105 points during a 105-55 trouncing of St. Andrews in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action on Thursday night. Rhoney becomes the second person to post a triple-double in league action this season and just the 14th in division two with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists as the Lady Falcons move to 10-9, 5-5 in conference play.
