Cox Named CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American in District Three; Moves On to National Ballot
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University women’s basketball standout Brittany Cox (Winston-Salem, NC) has been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team in district three. Only five players were selected for the division two team in which Cox was one of two coming from Conference Carolinas. MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Paced by a game-high 29 from Danny Smith (Baltimore, MD), Pfeiffer University claimed a 91-77 victory over St. Andrews in Conference Carolinas men’s basketball on Thursday night inside the Merner Gym. MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Behind Kellie Rhoney’s (Catawba, NC) triple-double and Brittany Cox’s (Winston-Salem, NC) double-double, Pfeiffer University scored a season-high 105 points during a 105-55 trouncing of St. Andrews in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action on Thursday night. Rhoney becomes the second person to post a triple-double in league action this season and just the 14th in division two with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists as the Lady Falcons move to 10-9, 5-5 in conference play.
