Currier on Omandovic – “Armin came to our program as a walk-on, and has really impressed me with a tireless work ethic that has helped shape the culture of our team this year. Armin came to us as a pure three point shooter, and has worked to improve his defense and rebounding ability. We look to recruit players that are coachable, great teammates, put the team ahead of personal agendas, and help us to be the hardest working team. Armin does all of those things, and I am excited to see what the next four years have in store for this young man.”
Omanovic comes to Pfeiffer set to begin his freshman season after a solid playing career at Wilkes Central High School in North Carolina. In his senior season at Wilkes Central, he was named Wilkes County Player of the Year and MVP of the 2AA Mountain Valley Conference. Known as a three point specialist, Omanovic tallied over 100 made three pointers in his Junior and Senior seasons at Wilkes, including a career high 33 points at Mt. Airy High School. He graduated high school with honors and achieved a 3.5 Grade Point Average.
He is the son of Mirsada and Emnedin Omanovic.
