AJ walks in the door comfortable playing up-tempo basketball, and has the toughness required to help lead this team to the next level. He has great speed and strength that will help him adjust to the college game. I have seen AJ mature a great deal in a short amount of time both on and off the court, and believe that he will be a leader in this program for the next four years.”
After a storied high school career at Western Alamance High School (NC), AJ Clark will begin his first season with the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team. He was selected as the 2011-2012 Mid State 3A Conference Player of the Year, as well as to the All-State Team, All-Area Team, and All-Region Team. Additionally, he was a 2012 nominee for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. Against Graham High School, Clark exploded for 27 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists in leading his team to a win. In his senior campaign, he averaged 23.5 points and 5.5 assists per game. Not only was AJ stellar on the court, He excelled in the classroom as well, maintaining a 3.5 GPA and earning induction to the National Society of High School Scholars and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
He is the son of Alvin Clark Sr. and Angela Thompson-Clark.
