He was the scholar athlete at Roanoke Rapids which is the highest honor for an athlete that has achieved academic and athletic success.”
David McNair enters his first season with the Falcons men’s basketball program after a stellar high school career at Roanoke Rapids High School and S4G Prep. In 2012 during his post graduate year at S4G Prep, McNair recorded a 40 point outburst against Queen City Prep, as well as a 22 rebound performance versus T.W. Andrews. The North Carolina product earned many accolades on the court including, 2011 Daily Herald All-Area First Team, 2011 Daily Herald Men’s Player of the year, 2011 1st Team All Northern Carolina conference, 2011 All-Tournament Team (Hurricane Classic), 2011 Team MVP, 2010 Coaches Award, and 2010 Honorable Mention all Northern Carolina Conference selections. In the classroom, McNair received the Roanoke Rapids High School Scholar Athlete, and was named to the schools honor role.
He is the son of Lisa and McKinley McNair.
