2010: Picked up 5 wins as a part of the Falcon pitching staff while get the call to start in 12 games. Also collected 3 hits in limited appearances at the plate. Top offensive moment on the season came in game one when she drove in the game winner with a walk-off RBI double against Kutztown. In the circle she picked up two shutouts, scattering 5 hits against Shaw and just 2 hits over 5 innings against Goldey-Beacom.

Before Pfeiffer: Had a very decorated high school career in both softball and volleyball, while also holding the position of President in the National Beta Club. In her sophomore year on the diamond received Best Defensive Player of the Year award while being named 2nd Team All-District as a pitcher. Did not disappoint her junior and senior year, receiving back to back MVP awards and being selected 1st Team All-District and named All-Region both years. 

Off the Field: Classified as a junior in the classroom, seeking a degree in Math with a Physics and Engineering Studies minor. Parents are Rodney and Kimberly Brown.

Coach Yates on Brown: “There’s never a moment when I’ve question Shelby’s drive to improve her game. She didn’t come to college to be a pitcher, and still had several good outings last season. With spending more time in the bullpen this year, I believe she will be very good in the circle for us and she possesses the ability to be a great hitter as well.”
