Game One: Pfeiffer 5 Covenant 1
While the offense came to play as usual for Pfeiffer, the pitching was the story in this one. Nick Richmond would throw a complete game four hitter for his first complete game of the season. Richmond went all 7 innings, giving up just the 4 hits and striking out 9 Scots hitters. Richmond needed 102 pitches for the complete game, with 69 of those being for strikes.
Meanwhile for the Falcon offense, Derek Perry would come through with a big 3 hit game including 2 doubles and 3 RBI's out of the leadoff spot. Xavier Rodriguez also had a solid day going 2-4 with an RBI.
Pfeiffer would score all 5 runs in the first two innings of the contest. Jordan Eckard started the game with a sac fly that would score Perry to take a 1-0 lead. Then in the fourth, the Falcons would tack on 4 more to push the lead to 5-0. Perry came up with the bases loaded and cleared the bases with a double down the left field line. Rodriguez would then drive Perry home with a single of his own for the 5th run of the game.
It was a struggle for Covenant with the bats as they could only muster 4 hits, which were all singles, against Richmond. After the first two innings, Scots starter Matt Reitz pitched a solid game. After the first two frames, Reitz game up no runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. For the game, Reitz went 6 innings while giving up 8 hits, 5 runs, and striking out 5.

Derek Perry would continue his great day at the plate with another 3 hit game. Perry would come in to score 5 times in this one, while also driving in 3 and blasting a homerun to right field in the fourth inning. Perry would come up just a single away from hitting for the cycle.
The Falcon offense got started in the third, as Marciano would drive in his first two runs of the contest on a 2 RBI single to center field. A Bryan Kowalski RBI single and Perry's homer in the fourth would extend the lead to 5-1.
The Scots would fight right back with a 3 run fifth and a 5 run sixth to tie the game at 8-8. First baseman Caleb Bloye had a solid game for Covenant, going 4-5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's. Trenton Nobles and Devin Cerrato would also have big games, combining for 6 hits and 3 runs scored.

Will Altemueller got the start on the mound for Pfeiffer. Altemueller went 4.2 innings giving up 9 hits and 4 earned runs. Nathan Ray came in for Altemueller and struggled through just 1/3 of an inning, but from there the Falcon bullpen would be on lock down as they would give up just 1 run in the final 4 innings.
