    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (26-5) saw its 2016-17 campaign come to a close in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 118-86 to last year’s National Runners-Up Lincoln Memorial (27-5). With 26 wins on the season, Pfeiffer amassed their highest win total since going 27-5 in the 2004-05 season.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Conference Carolinas announced its 2016-17 men’s basketball award winners this morning and Pfeiffer’s A.J. Clark was named Conference Player of the Year and Jeremy Currier earned Conference Coach of the Year. Clark and Andrew Guerrero were each named First Team All-Conference performers and Mike Smith (Second Team) and Josh Calhoun (Third Team) were also selected as all conference players.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Hunter LeVeau’s basket with .1 seconds left ended Pfeiffer’s 14-game winning streak and sent the Tornado on to tomorrow’s championship game against Limestone. LeVeau was in the right spot at the right time to rebound a missed 3-point attempt and lay it in with a fraction of a second left on the clock to hand Pfeiffer its first home loss of the season.

    KANSAS CITY, MO - The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team moved up three spots in this week’s NABC National Rankings and are ranked No. 22 in the nation. Pfeiffer has won 13 straight games and entered the national rankings at No. 25 last week, their first national ranking since 2007.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The No. 22 Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (26-3) survived an upset bid from the hot-shooting Erskine Flying Fleet (9-20) in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament with an 86-84 victory on Tuesday night. With the win, Pfeiffer will host Saturday’s semifinal and Sunday’s championship inside Merner Gym where the Falcons are a perfect 15-0 on the year.

With the win, Pfeiffer locks up home court advantage and the number one seed in the upcoming Conference Tournament.

The Falcons come in at No. 25 in the rankings and are the only Conference Carolinas team to appear in the national poll.

These rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will be released weekly until the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee announces the championship selections.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Thanks to a 33-point outburst from Andrew Guerrero, the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (21-3, 14-3 CC) ran its winning streak to nine straight with a 97-81 defeat of Barton (16-7, 11-4) on Tuesday night. In the victory, junior guard Josh Calhoun became the 35th player in Pfeiffer history to record 1,000 career points.

    DUE WEST, SC – The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (20-3, 13-3 CC) secured its first 20-win season since 2007-08 with a 103-88 victory at Erskine (8-13, 4-9) on Saturday afternoon. The quartet of A.J. Clark, Andrew Guerrero, Josh Calhoun and Mike Smith combined for 91 of the Falcons 103 points in the game and Calhoun moved just nine points shy of 1,000 for his career.

A.J. Clark led the Falcons with 30 points on the night as Pfeiffer trails Limestone by just two games in the loss column for the regular season title.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer knocked down a program-record 21 3-pointers and recorded the second highest scoring total in Division II this season in a 134-92 thrashing of Lees-McRae inside Merner Gym on Saturday night. A.J. Clark poured in 34 points and was one of seven players to knock down a triple on the evening.
