Baldwin City, Kan. -- Small College Basketball announced its first Watch List for the 2018 Bevo Francis Award which consists of 100 men's basketball players in the country who compete in the affiliations of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and NCCAA. The Falcons Josh Calhoun was selected to the list as the senior’s scorching start to the season has people taking notice.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – For the second time this season, the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (11-0) put a hurting on Carolina Christian (6-6), this time it was a 124-66 thumping on Saturday afternoon. Just over a month ago, Pfeiffer beat the Centurions 129-73.
The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team put on another clinic tonight as they defeated Columbia International (3-11) 120-68. The Falcons (10-0) continue their red hot start to the season as they keep their undefeated streak alive. Pfeiffer was led by Josiah Avington, Josh Calhoun, and freshman Luke Storey who all had 15 points each on the night.

FERRUM, VA – Senior Josh Calhoun stayed red-hot as the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (7-0) ran its win streak to seven in a row to open the 2017-18 campaign with a dominant 103-62 victory over Ferrum (2-7) on Wednesday night. Calhoun followed up his 46-point outburst on Saturday with a 30-point showing tonight as the Rockingham, NC native went 9-of-12 from the field and 8-of-11 from long range. Over his last two contests, Calhoun has converted a staggering 18 3-pointers.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Senior guard Josh Calhoun had one of the greatest games in Pfeiffer basketball history, dropping 46 points to lead the Falcons (6-0) to a 43-point win over William Peace (2-7) on New Year's Eve inside Merner Gym. Calhoun came just four points shy of tying Tony Smith's all-time mark of 50 points in a game and he tied the program mark for most made 3-pointers in a game with 10.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (5-0) used a record-breaking performance from Marcus Sawyers to defeat Greensboro (2-4) by a final score of 113-85 on Wednesday evening. Sawyers broke the program record for highest field goal percentage in a game with his 11-for-12 (91.6 percent) performance. Sawyers knocked down all four of his attempts from long range and topped the previous mark for the highest percentage of made field goals with a minimum of eight made shots. The record of 88.9 percent (8-of-9) was set by Jerod Wallace on Feb. 12, 2013, against Barton.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Pfeiffer Head Coach Jeremy Currier earned a milestone victory in Pfeiffer's (4-0) 129-73 dismantling of Carolina Christian (6-7) on Sunday afternoon. The win was number 100 in the young coaching career of Currier with 93 of those wins coming as the leader of the Falcons program.

Josh Calhoun scored a team-high 31 points in the victory and Brendan Jones dropped a career-high 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
CONCORD, N.C. – In game two of the StatGeek Tip Off Classic, Pfeiffer (2-0) dismantled Barber Scotia (3-5) by a final score of 105-54 on Sunday afternoon. Once again, 14 players scored in the victory led by 15 apiece from Josh Calhoun and Eric Ambrosio.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer men's basketball team (1-0) dominated Barber Scotia (3-3) in the season opener on Wednesday evening, beating the Sabers by a final score of 137-100 inside Merner Gymnasium. The Falcons scored 85 points in the first half, breaking the program record for most points in a half which was set in 2010 when Pfeiffer dropped 77 in a half against Barton. Pfeiffer also shattered the record for most steals in a game, recording 33 thefts. The previous record of 23 had stood since 1992.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (26-5) saw its 2016-17 campaign come to a close in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 118-86 to last year’s National Runners-Up Lincoln Memorial (27-5). With 26 wins on the season, Pfeiffer amassed their highest win total since going 27-5 in the 2004-05 season.
The Pfeiffer Falcons will make their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since the 2005 season when they take on last year’s national runner up in Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon. KANSAS CITY, MO - The 64-team NCAA Division II men’s basketball tournament bracket was released this evening and Pfeiffer earned an at-large bid in the Southeast Region. The Falcons earned a No. 7 seed and will take on Lincoln Memorial on Saturday at regional host Queens University.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Hunter LeVeau’s basket with .1 seconds left ended Pfeiffer’s 14-game winning streak and sent the Tornado on to tomorrow’s championship game against Limestone. LeVeau was in the right spot at the right time to rebound a missed 3-point attempt and lay it in with a fraction of a second left on the clock to hand Pfeiffer its first home loss of the season.
