BRISTOL, TENN. -- The Pfeiffer men's golf team placed ninth at the King University Invitational at the Country Club of Bristol. The Falcons shaved three strokes off their total in day two of the tournament and finished with a team score of 597.
North Greenville won the tournament with a team score of 562. Southern Wesleyan placed second and Erskine came in third. The tournament was composed of all Division II programs except for the Falcons.
The Falcons were led by Hunter Dillard's two-day total of 144. Dillard shot a 73 in round one on Monday and followed that with a 71 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 15th place.
Trailing Dillard was Genis Alberti who tied for 22nd with a two-day score of 146. Trailing Alberti by three shots was freshman Parker Chavis who shot a 73-76. Cory Selander and Cameron Hall rounded out Pfeiffer's top five golfers.
Pfeiffer is off until October 23 when they compete in the Guilford College Invitational. That tournament will be Pfeiffer's final tournament of the fall season.
