The Falcons will once again be led by Scott Nelson as he enters his second season as Pfeiffer's head coach. Last season produced a 7 win campaign, including going 4-3 at home. Pfeiffer has their second leading goal scorer from a season ago, Blade Garlow, back for his senior season as a Falcon. Garlow scored 31 goals last season while compiling 28 assists, 59 points, and 30 ground balls. For his career, Garlow has scored 51 goals, 43 assists, 94 points, and collected 55 groundballs. Jared Nelson also returns for his sophomore season. Nelson comes off a year where he scored 23 goals, 44 assists, and racked up 67 points. Other returners include Ryan Cummings, Michael Turner, and Alex Skidmore, who all contributed solid numbers last season.
This season will feature all new opponents for Pfeiffer as they face off against USA South Athletic Conference rivals as they continue their transition into Division III and the USA South. The schedule consists of 13 games, three less than a year ago. Five of those matchups will be played at N.E. Lefko Field, including games against Southern Virginia (2/17), Averett (3/3), Huntingdon (3/25), Greensboro (4/7), and Brevard (4/14).
The Falcons play their first home game of the season on February 17 at 1 p.m. as they play host to Southern Virginia.
