RALEIGH, N.C. – The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team (6-3) had little trouble dispatching William Peace (3-7) as the Falcons came away with a 20-7 victory on Wednesday evening. Five different players netted a hat trick for the Falcons who entered as one of the most efficient offenses in the nation and posted their third 20-goal output of the season.
The Falcons were led by senior Blade Garlow who finished with eight points on four goals and four assists. The senior now sits just four goals shy of number 100 for his career and ranks 10th in team history with 155 career points. Only eight players in program history have reached the century mark in goals scored for their career.
Pfeiffer held a 49-34 discrepancy in ground balls and won 22-of-30 faceoffs on the night. Josh Reffey went 21-for-26 on the faceoff and added five ground balls.
Pfeiffer outshot the Pacers 50-29 and went 2-for-4 on the man advantage. The 50 shots represented the second highest total of the year for Pfeiffer.
Garlow added five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers to his ledger.
Pfeiffer returns to action on Sunday night as they host Huntingdon at 7 p.m. which will mark their first game at N.E. Lefko Field since beating Averett on March 3.
