The rosters were announced for the 77th Annual USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star games and Pfeiffer’s Blade Garlow was selected to compete for the Division III South team. The All-Star game will be played at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island on Friday, May 25 at 5:30 p.m.
DANBURY, CONN. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2018 Division III Men’s Lacrosse major award winners and All-ECAC selections this morning. Pfeiffer’s Blade Garlow and Jared Nelson were named Second Team All-ECAC and Honorable Mention All-ECAC respectively.

FERRUM, VA. – Blade Garlow became the eighth player in program history to score 100 goals as the Pfeiffer men’s lacrosse team (8-3) held on to beat Ferrum (5-10) by a final score of 14-13 on Saturday afternoon. MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Sophomore Jared Nelson broke the single-game assist record with 10 helpers and also topped 100 career points as the Falcons (3-2) drubbed Averett (0-4) by a final score of 25-4 on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Jared Nelson was named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week as announced by the league this afternoon. Nelson had a performance for the ages in Pfeiffer’s 20-7 thrashing of Emmanuel on Saturday.

Jared Nelson tied the record for most assists in a game with nine helpers and fellow freshman Cody Lamond broke the single season record for ground balls which stood since 2001.

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Pfeiffer men’s lacrosse team (3-5, 1-1 CC) exploded for 23 goals in a 23-11 victory at Chowan (0-6, 0-1) on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Cody Lamond destroyed the all-time record for most ground balls in a game, finishing with 27 on the day. Previously, the record of 17 set by Dan Ciaravino stood since 1993 but Lamond put the new mark pretty far out of reach. Lamond’s outstanding day included him going 30-for-33 in faceoffs and adding three goals.
